What is direct production?

Direct Production is a term used to describe a situation where a company, a group of individuals or people produce what they need without having to rely on any other person or organization. The concept of direct production also means that the item created in this form must only be caused by talents and efforts of the producer. In other words, a person involved in direct production must be able to take the entire production process from the initial phase including raw materials into the finished final product.

The example of the application of this concept can be seen in the case of a carpenter who is a direct furniture manufacturer. In this case, the individual selects the tree needed to produce the desired piece of furniture, cut it off and divide it into feasible sections. Finally, the individual will form the required parts of the wood into the table, chair or other type of furniture.
