Alzheimer's disease, depression, autism, and Parkinson's disease, which are common but not completely overcome in modern society, are related to the human brain and nervous system. Neuroscience, as an interdisciplinary discipline, involves biology, chemistry, medicine, psychology, artificial intelligence, and even philosophy, which also provides unlimited possibilities for the younger generation to continue exploring the human brain.
After 15 years of development, Brain Bee has more than 150 chapters in more than 30 countries. According to the competition rules of the International Neuroscience Contest Organizing Committee, each participating country must hold a national selection contest, and a student selected from it will participate in the International Neuroscience Competition on behalf of that country. Every year, the Brain Bee International is held at the same time as the International Conference on Neuroscience. Student representatives from various countries are also invited to participate in the International Conference when participating in the International Competition.
Currently, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Italy and other countries have joined the Brain Bee family. This competition was warmly welcomed by students from various countries, and the outstanding students who stood out in the competition were also favored by the world's top universities. For example, the national championships of the United States and Australia in 2012 were accepted by Harvard and Princeton University.
In China, the organizing committee of the National Brain and Neuroscience Competition was authorized by the International Organizing Committee in 2013, and the first national competition was held that year. The National Neuroscience Contest was supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Hong Kong, Zhejiang University, and the Youth Innovation and Challenge Program. Since the first national competition was held in 2013, there have been High School Affiliated High School, Beijing University Affiliated High School, Beijing Normal University Affiliated Experimental Middle School, Nanjing Foreign Language School, Hangzhou Foreign Language School, Hangzhou Senior High School, South China Normal University High School, Shanghai Tianshan Middle School, Suzhou Xinghai School, Ningbo Students from all over the country, including Xiaoshi Middle School, participated.
