From 2003 to 2007, he served as Secretary General of the International Geological Contrast Plan 491 Project (Middle Paleozoic Vertebrate Vertebrate Geography, Paleogeography, and Paleoclimate) and China's National Working Group Leader. Since 2009, he has been the communication member of the Silurian Branch of the International Strata Committee.
