How do I get permaculture certification?
While the abundance of permaculture information can be found online or in books, permaculture certification is required for those who want to use "permaculture" protected by copyright. Permaculture Certification is awarded after a successful completion of the course for the design of permaculture. Design courses are based on learning co -founders Permaculture, Bill Mollison and David Holmgren, and are offered in many places around the world. It usually takes about two weeks to complete the course depending on the plan. The common set of principles is the basis of the design of permaculture. The three most widespread ethical principles are expressed in abbreviation as "land care", "carers" and "fair share". In addition to these ethical principles, Permaculture has 12 Princemi Designs. The commonly used image of "permaculture flowers" shows how all these principles are represented as the heart of the flower, applied to a set of seven domains represented by petals.
Percultural principles and domains are usually the first subject covered in the permaculture design course. Later parts of the course tend to focus on the application of permaculture design in seven domains. Courses usually cover the following wide areas: understanding of natural and cultural patterns; understanding of landscape and climate zones; Resource management and protection; Agricultural planning and design; built planning and environmental design; and economics and marketing. Each of these areas covers a number of more specific topics. For example, management and maintaining resources could include renewable energy sources, energy savings, water collection and waste management, including, among other things.
6 Students can apply what they are learning, working with plants or animals on the farm, or by helping to build a sustainably designed house in the perculture community. Completion of one or more design projects is also a common requirement to certify permacultury.although desiGN Permacultury was created in Australia at the age of 70, certified instructors and design courses can be found worldwide. Some instructors expressed concern that the standards of the content and depth of the learning of Mollison and Holmgren were diluted by a rapidly growing number of certified instructors and design courses. The Australian Institute of Permaculture and its sister organization, the Permaculture Institute in the Santa Fe in New Mexico, is working to ensure that the standard curriculum is taught in the Certification of Permacultury.
