- Among many foreign languages, the length of German words can be described as "out of fame". Comprehensive foreign media reported on June 3, 2013 that Germany abolished a 63-letter legal vocabulary. For the past 6 years, this word has been dominating the throne of "the longest word in German".
- The full spelling of this super-long word is Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz, which is often abbreviated as "RkReÜAÜG", which means "Beef Label Supervision Task Entrustment Law", which was once a local regulation in the German state of Pomerania. The regulation was introduced in 1999 to prevent consumers from contracting BSE. Because of its length, it was selected by the media as the top ten hot words of the year.
- According to EU recommendations, carnivorous cattle are no longer being monitored for mad cow disease, so this long word loses its original meaning. In its place is a new regulation called "Local Regulations on the Right to Supervise the Labelling of Beef and Veal". Since this legal noun is expressed by multiple words, no super-long words appear.
