What can I expect during the BLS test?

To obtain basic life support (BLS), expect to answer the written test and also perform techniques of saving life in scenarios designed to test how you would react in the field. The BLS test measures the student's knowledge of the right way to manage a heart attack or a stroke victim, a person who chokes, an electric patient and a traumatic scene. Be prepared to quickly identify symptoms, assess the patient and apply measures to rescue life as part of the BLS test.

BLS Test will include questions and scenarios using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It will determine whether you know how to place the victim and what grades should be obvious before the start of the CPR. Questions and scenarios could deal with a patient suffering from an overdose of a medicine, drowning, electric shock or a heart attack. Your knowledge of different CPR methods for adults, children and infants will be evaluated.

Emergency measures to help the victim of suffocation are also part of the BLS Teulice. You will be testedWhen evaluating the patient, whether you warned the emergency medical service of the situation, you have properly opened the airways and if the CPR is suitable for the victim. These tests are usually performed on dummies set at different stations within the BLS test. Sometimes there is a coach who provides information about the scene if the patient is unable to respond to questions.

The correct use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is also part of the BLS test. The device sends a shock to the heart to restart it when other measures do not work. You will need to know when to use AED, the number of time to shock the heart and what to do if the patient is a child and you only have access to AED adult devices.

For some parts of the test, the volunteer could be used to display the victim of the trauma. This person to mighth in shock, bleeding or suffering from broken bones or joints. Your work includes questioning the patientAnd it takes vital symptoms about obtaining a medical history, if possible, and start treatment of first aid until more advanced medical assistance comes.

In some BLS tests, you also have to find out whether the scene is safe from entering to determine the number of affected patients and their conditions. The emergency crew safety may be critical in the fire, the place of violent act or any situation that could endanger the first aid team. In some cases, during the BLS test, the coach can tell you that the scene is safe to allow you to move to the next step.

Some BLS testing procedures also assume that you have emergency medical techniques if questions appear or information should be shared. The typical tests are set up scenarios that require one rescuer, while other tests evaluate two students who cooperate. This often allows the evaluator to see how you work as a teamucpr team or other first aid duties.
