The first-level construction division is a construction qualification and a prerequisite for serving as a large-scale project manager. The first-level constructor qualification examination consists of 4 subjects, and the personnel taking all 4 subjects must pass all subjects within two consecutive examination years. Persons who have obtained the qualification certificate of construction engineers and meet the registration requirements must be registered before they can practice in the name of construction engineers.

Construction project manager application conditions

(1) Anyone who complies with national laws and regulations and meets one of the following conditions can apply to take the qualification examination for a first-class construction division:
1. Acquired a college degree in engineering or engineering economics and has worked for 6 years, including 4 years in construction management of construction projects.
2. Obtained a bachelor degree in engineering or engineering economics, working for 4 years, including 3 years in construction management of construction projects.
3. Graduated with a double bachelor degree or graduate degree in engineering or engineering economics and has worked for 3 years, including 2 years in construction management of construction projects.
4. Obtain a master's degree in engineering or engineering economics and work for two years, including one year in construction management of construction projects.
5. Obtain a doctorate degree in engineering or engineering economics and have been engaged in construction management of construction projects for at least one year.
(2) Those who meet the application requirements of (1) above and who have obtained the Certificate of First-Class Project Manager of Construction Enterprise issued by the Ministry of Construction before December 31, 2003, and those who meet one of the following conditions may be exempted from the Construction Engineering Economy "and" Construction Engineering Project Management "2 subjects, only take the two subjects of" Construction Engineering Regulations and Related Knowledge "and" Professional Engineering Management and Practice ":
1. Engaged in senior professional and technical positions in engineering or engineering economics.

(3) Starting from the 2007 examination, those who have obtained the qualification certificate of a first-class construction engineer can also choose the corresponding major in the subject of "Professional Engineering Management and Practice" according to the actual work needs, and sign up for "the corresponding major of the first-class construction engineer." Examination ", applicants must provide relevant materials such as qualification certificates to apply for the examination. After passing the examination, the corresponding professional qualification certificate printed by the State shall be issued. This certificate is used as a basis for adding professional categories during registration. (4) The requirements for academic qualifications or degrees in the above application conditions refer to formal academic qualifications or degrees recognized by the State Education Administrative Department, and the number of years of work in construction management of construction projects refers to the time before or after obtaining the required academic qualifications. In total, the deadline is the end of the year in which the exam is registered.

The second-level construction division is a professional qualification in the construction category and a prerequisite for serving as a project manager. Those who pass the second-level construction division qualification examination shall be issued the "People's Republic of China Second-level Construction Division Practice Qualification Certificate" by the personnel departments of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. After obtaining the construction professional qualification certificate and being registered, the second-level construction professional registration certificate will be obtained. The registered construction professional can only be employed.

The requirements for registration conditions in different places are slightly different, reflecting different leniency policies. Candidates should follow the local registration notice for the current year. Take Beijing as an example:
1) Take the whole subject:
Anyone who complies with the law and meets one of the following conditions can register for the examination of all subjects of the second-tier construction division:
(1) Have a college degree or above in engineering or engineering economics and have been engaged in the construction and management of construction projects for two years; (this article is shared by all provinces except Shanxi Province and Xinjiang Autonomous Region; Shanxi Province and Xinjiang Autonomous Region It is expressly stipulated that graduates of the major in this major or above can directly take the exam without any work experience)
(2) At least 5 years in the construction and management of construction projects with a bachelor's degree or above in other majors;
(3) Engaged in construction and management of construction projects for 15 years.
2) Exempt 1 subject: (This article is shared by all places)
Those who meet the relevant registration requirements and obtain the "Secondary Project Manager Certificate for Construction Enterprises" issued by the Ministry of Construction and meet one of the following conditions may be exempted from the subject of "Construction Management".
(1) Has obtained the qualifications for intermediate or higher professional and technical positions in engineering or engineering economics.
(2) A college degree or above in engineering or engineering economics and engaged in construction management of construction projects for at least 15 years.
3) Exempt 2 subjects:
Meet the relevant registration requirements, obtain the "Project Manager Certificate of Construction Enterprise Level 1" issued by the Ministry of Construction, and have a technical title of intermediate or higher, or obtain the qualification certificate of a first-level project manager, engaged in construction project construction management for 15 years, can be exempted from " "Construction Engineering Construction Management" and "Construction Engineering Regulations and Related Knowledge" subjects.

Note: The deadline for engaging in the construction management work of construction projects in the above examination conditions is the end of the examination year.
