What Does a Chief Judge Do?
The chief judge is the most senior judge of the Supreme Court in most districts, especially common law. The Chief Justice is also usually the head of the court. "Chief Justice" and "Chief Judge" in English have similar meanings but different usages; the former usually refers to the highest judge of the Supreme Court, translated as "chief justice"; the latter refers to the highest judge of other courts, translated as "chief judge".
