District Attorneys (English: District Attorney , DA for short) are many jurisdictions in the United States and are responsible for bringing criminal proceedings on behalf of the government. Depending on the laws of each state, a local prosecutor may be elected by citizens in the jurisdiction in which he is located, or may be appointed by the chief executive of the jurisdiction in which he is located.
