What Does a District Superintendent Do?

The school district chief is the highest education administrator of the French school district. Acting on behalf of the Minister of National Education in the school district. It is generally selected from university staff who have obtained a national doctorate degree, nominated by the Cabinet, and appointed by a decree issued by the President of the Republic. A wide range of powers, including primary, secondary and tertiary education, especially in secondary education. (3) In the field of secondary education, lead and supervise the teaching, administrative management, and financial work of schools; determine the establishment and distribution of schools according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education; Allocate the number of faculty and staff of each school and the amount of funding; approve the budgets of each school and review the financial expenditures; directly manage junior high school general education teachers, assistant teachers and administrative staff.
