The professional qualification is divided into three levels

Assistant engineer, engineer, senior engineer.

(1) Technical design of surveying and mapping project;

(2) Technical consultation and technical evaluation of surveying and mapping projects;

(3) technical management, guidance and supervision of surveying and mapping projects;

(4) Quality inspection, review and appraisal of surveying and mapping results;

(5) Other surveying and mapping services prescribed by the relevant departments of the State Council. For those who have worked in key positions that need to be filled by qualified personnel, but have not yet obtained the "Practical Qualification Certificate", intensive training is required to meet the deadline. Those who are still unable to obtain qualifications after training must be transferred from key positions.

According to regulations, surveying and mapping practice qualifications are obtained through examination methods, and a unified national outline and unified propositions are implemented. The examinations are held once a year. There are 3 subjects in the exam, namely "Comprehensive Ability of Surveying and Mapping", "Management of Surveying and Mapping" and "Analysis of Surveying and Mapping Cases". All the examination results are qualified within one examination year, and they can obtain the qualification of registered surveying and mapping engineer.

Those who have obtained a certificate through examinations are employed by a qualified unit in surveying and mapping. After registration, they can practice in the name of registered surveying and mapping divisions. The key positions in surveying and mapping activities must be performed by registered surveyors. The technical design and quality documents of surveying and mapping results formed in the surveying and mapping activities must be signed by the registered surveyors and stamped with the seal of practice before they can take effect. ^[2]

Article 1. The Ministry of Personnel and the National Bureau of Surveying and Mapping have jointly established the Office of Registered Surveying and Mapping Qualification Examination (hereinafter referred to as the Examination Office, which is located in the National Bureau of Surveying and Mapping), which is responsible for the research of examination-related policies and examination management. The specific examination work is entrusted to the personnel examination center of the Ministry of Personnel.

The personnel administration departments and administrative departments of surveying and mapping of the provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities are jointly responsible for the examination work in their respective regions, and negotiate and determine the division of responsibilities for specific tasks.

Article 2. The State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping has established an Expert Committee for the Qualification Examination of Registered Surveyors and Mappers, which is responsible for the preparation and proposition work of the qualification examination outline for registered surveyors and mappers.

Article 3 The qualification examination for registered surveying and mapping division consists of three subjects: "Comprehensive Capability of Surveying and Mapping", "Management of Surveying and Mapping", "Law and Regulations", and "Analysis of Surveying and Mapping Cases". The test takes three and a half days. The examination time for the two subjects of "Comprehensive Capability of Surveying and Mapping", "Management of Surveying and Mapping and Laws and Regulations" is 2.5 hours, and the examination time of the "Analysis of Surveying and Mapping" subjects is 3 hours.

Article 4 Personnel who participate in all (3) subject examinations for the qualification of registered surveyor and mapper must take all (3) subjects and pass the examination within one examination year to obtain the certificate of registered surveyor and surveyor.

Article 5 Those who meet the registration requirements for the qualification survey of registered surveyors and surveyors, and have been evaluated as senior engineer professional and technical positions before December 31, 2005, may be exempted from the subject of "Comprehensive Surveying and Mapping Ability" subjects and only participate in "Surveying and Mapping Management and Laws and Regulations" 2. Examination of 2 subjects in "Case Analysis of Surveying and Mapping". In a test year, those who pass the two subjects and pass the test can get the certificate of registered surveyor.

Article 6 To participate in the examination, I shall submit an application, and bring the certification of the unit and related materials to the local examination management institution to register. The examination management agency will issue an admission ticket after passing the examination in accordance with the prescribed procedures and registration conditions. The test takers take the test at the time and place specified in the admission ticket.

Professional and technical personnel of units affiliated to various departments of the State Council and centrally-managed enterprises register for the examinations in accordance with the principle of territoriality.

Article 7 In principle, the examination sites for the qualification survey of registered surveyors are located in universities, technical secondary schools, or designated schools for college entrance examinations in municipalities directly under the Central Government and provincial capitals. If they are to be established in other cities, they must be approved by the Ministry of Personnel and the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping. The exam date is the third quarter of each year.

Article 8 adheres to the principle of separate examination and training. Anyone who participates in the examination work (including test system and organization management) shall not participate in the examination and participate in or organize training related to the content of the examination. Candidates participate in relevant training on a voluntary basis.

Article 9 The fees for the qualification examination of registered surveyors and surveyors and related items must be approved by the local price administrative department, announced to the public, and subject to public supervision.

Article 10 Examination and examination work shall strictly implement the relevant rules and regulations of the examination work, conscientiously do a good job of confidentiality in the process of making, printing, and sending out test papers, abide by the confidentiality system, and prevent leaks.

Article 11 Examination staff shall strictly abide by the discipline of examination work, and conscientiously implement the examination avoidance system. Violations of examination disciplines and related regulations shall be handled in accordance with the "Provisions on the Treatment of Disciplinary and Violations of Qualified Examinations of Professional and Technical Personnel".

Citizens of the People's Republic of China, who abide by national laws and regulations, abide by professional ethics, and meet one of the following conditions, can apply to take the qualification survey of registered surveyors:

(1) Obtain a college degree in surveying and mapping majors, who can apply for the surveying and mapping business for 6 years; obtain a college degree in other sciences and engineering, and engage in surveying and mapping business for 8 years.

(2) Obtain a bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping majors, and apply for surveying and mapping business for 4 years; apply for a bachelor's degree in other science and engineering majors, and apply for surveying and mapping business for 6 years.

(3) Graduated with a double bachelor's degree including surveying and mapping majors or graduated from a graduate class in surveying and mapping with 3 years of experience in surveying and mapping business; you can apply for a test after completing three years of surveying and mapping business; graduated with a double bachelor's degree or graduate degree in other science and engineering majors and engaged in surveying and mapping business Candidates can apply for admission after 5 years.

(4) Obtain a master's degree in surveying and mapping, and apply for surveying and mapping business for 2 years; apply for a master's degree in other science and engineering, and apply for surveying and mapping business for 4 years.

(5) Obtained a doctorate degree in surveying and mapping, and engaged in surveying and mapping business for one year; obtained a doctorate degree in other sciences and engineering, and engaged in surveying and mapping business for 3 years, and can apply for the examination.
