What is the machine creator doing?
The creator of the machine, sometimes known as an engineer, is a person who assembles, repairs and maintains machines built for different purposes. This person is usually used in a production or industrial environment and can create parts from zero for a particular machine. The creator of the machine does not always need a high school diploma, but most employers prefer a builder who has completed at least secondary education. Other qualifications may also be required, such as the degree or professional certificate of associated, although many builders instead participate in the apprenticeship program. Mild mathematical skills are also very important for machine creators because they will have to create parts according to very specific criteria to create functional machines. Once the parts are made, the builder will have to assemble machine and test its functionality. During the life of the machine, the builder may have to perform routine maintenance and also complex repairs to ensure the longevity of the machine.
The creator of machines spends a significant part of their day by positioning, bending or other movement. The builder will have to be in good physical condition and must be able to do some heavy lifting, as many parts in the machine can be exceptionally difficult. Safety training will also be necessary, as machines can be dangerous. First aid and CPR training are often required for machine builders and safety equipment such as glasses, solid hats and ear plugs, must be worn every time the machine is started, or at any time the builder is near the working space.
