The hump route was an air passage opened in the mountains of southwestern China during the Second World War between China and the United States in order to fight against Japanese fascist aggression and guarantee China's strategic material transportation. Its development is a heroic feat in the history of world aviation co-founded by the flight crews of the two countries. The hump pilot overcomes many obstacles, bravely sacrificed, flew over the hump, and broke the siege of the Japanese army against China. It brought in the much-needed strategic materials for the Japanese operation, set up the lifeline of air war, and made an indelible defeat to the Japanese militarism contribution. The martyrs who died at the humpback route will always live in the hearts of the Chinese and American peoples. The hump route also serves as a bridge of friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. The Hump Pilots Association, established in the United States in 1947, has so far organized delegations to visit China. In 1995, the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War, the "Hump Pilots Association" organized a delegation to come to China to revisit the place and hold a "Hump Flight Memorial Ceremony" in front of the "Hump Flight Memorial" in Kunming. The exhibition "Memory of History" held in the United States has pushed the long-standing friendship between the Chinese and American people to a new height.
