Mainly engaged in comprehensive treatment of hematological malignancies such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He is good at all types of acute and chronic leukemia, malignant lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), various types of anemia, Diagnosis and treatment of thrombocytopenic purpura and other diseases. He has extensive experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in the treatment of hematological malignancies, aplastic anemia and autoimmune diseases. Over the years, many difficult cases have been diagnosed and treated, especially difficult, high-risk refractory lymphomas and multiple myeloma cases, and secondary myelodysplastic syndromes, which have been affirmed by the majority of patients. At the same time, intensive translational medical research has been conducted on molecular targeted drugs and tumor signal pathway regulating drugs for acute leukemia, MDS, malignant lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Director Zhang Yihuan is dedicated to the clinical and translational medical research of hematological tumors, and he was the first to establish a domestic leading blood disease clinical treatment center with a standardized clinical and translational research technology platform in an oncology hospital. In translation medicine research, he has hosted and participated in more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial projects, including the first person in charge of 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and 1 project of the Tianjin Natural Science Foundation. He has participated in one of the National 863 Programs as a third participant (five million yuan). He was selected as the New Century Talent Project of Tianjin Medical University, and was funded by the Tianjin Young and Middle-aged Young Talents Training Program. At the same time, it has actively carried out international cooperation, established an efficient communication and cooperation platform for clinical and translational medical research at home and abroad, obtained two international cooperation projects, and published articles in authoritative magazines such as Cancer Cell and Journal of Clinical Investigation. He has published more than 100 Chinese and English monographs and more than 30 SCI articles as the corresponding author and first author. He has edited many monographs in Chinese and English such as "Hematologic cancers: from molecular pathobiology to targeted therapeutics", "Modern Hematology", "Hematology-Chinese Medical Association Continuing Medicine Textbook" and so on.
