It can work as an independent supplier or be part of employees of a large architectural company or model companies. Models
are generally preferred over drawings, plans or sketches because the proposed buildings report in relation to the surroundings. Unlike the drawing, 3-D makeup created by the model manufacturer at the same time shows all sides of the structure and introduces it to the perspective with existing buildings of the area, landscaping and views. These models have proven to be the most effective tool of persuading when presenting the Council or the Committee for Approval.

The selection of building materials used by the manufacturer of the model depends on several factors. Budget instructions are usually the first aspect. If the regime is to be sufficiently resistant to travel or be expected to be physically solvedn more parties, more robust materials can be selected. Conversely, if the model is intended to be presented only shortly one side, the manufacturer of the model can choose cheaper and more delicate building materials.
