What is the work of a work study?

There are a number of financial assistance programs to help students finance their higher education, including grants, student loans and scholarships. However, most of this financial assistance goes directly to the institution to cover the costs of tuition, books and meals. Some students who are looking for a part -time job at school at school can also apply for work to help meet the goals. Work on a working study is generally financed through federal or institutional programs and is considered part of the student's financial assistance package.

Working studies are usually assigned through the institutional department associated with financial assistance. Different work in different areas of the campus are associated with students eligible for the program.
