What skills do I need as a capable sailor?
There are several desired skills you want to control if you want to become a capable sailor. These skills, such as knot bindings, the rules of the road and navigation, are all the prerequisites to become a capable sailor. You will also be obliged to complete the work in the classroom, have a special amount of time at sea and go through physical and drug examination to become a capable sailor. You must also be 18 years of age or older to complete the training component. The 40 -hour class will cover the safety of the deck, the general on -board duties and the rules of the road at sea. You will also be trained in basic navigation to provide you with skills for safe operation on board the ship and work as a Crew member.
