What Are Silver Ingots?

Silver ingots are silver that is cast into ingots. The earliest unearthed silver ingots were made in the second year of Han Jingdi (148 BC). Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty four years (119 BC) made platinum (ie silver) third grade. Wang Mang casts the second grade of silver goods. Subsequent generations had foundry, but the circulation was not widespread. In the Sui and Tang dynasties, silver ingots were called "silver cakes" and "silver ingots", flat silver coins were called "sheets", "wats", and "versions", and rod-shaped ones were called "ingots" and "tings." . The Yuan Dynasty was generally called "Yuanbao" outside of silver ingots, and the form became horseshoe-shaped, so it was also called "horseshoe silver". The term "yuanbao" was used in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
