1. Direct investment : Investment aimed at investors seeking to run businesses outside their home country to gain an effective voice. Divided into foreign direct investment and foreign direct investment in China. Among them, foreign direct investment includes the stock of foreign direct investment of the domestic non-financial sector, the stock of capital and working capital allocated by domestic banks to set up branches overseas, and loans and other receivables and payables from domestic and overseas parent and subsidiary companies. Foreign direct investment in China includes China s non-financial sector's stock of direct investment in China and the financial sector's stock of overseas direct investment (including the establishment of branches by foreign financial institutions, the absorption of foreign investment by Chinese financial institutions, and the stock of Chinese and foreign investments in joint venture financial sectors), And the stock of loans and other receivables and payables between domestic and foreign parent and subsidiary companies.

3.2 Loans : Assets represent external assets held by domestic institutions through the provision of loans and placements abroad; liabilities represent various types of loans borrowed by Chinese institutions, such as foreign government loans, international organization loans, foreign bank loans, and seller credit .
3.3 Currency and deposits : Assets represent short-term funds such as overseas private deposits, short-term funds of foreign banks, and borrowings from foreign exporters and private individuals such as overseas deposits held by Chinese financial institutions and foreign exchange cash inventories.
3.4 Other assets / liabilities : refers to investments other than trade credits, loans, currencies, and deposits, such as equity capital subscribed by non-monetary international organizations, and other receivables and payables.
4. Reserve assets : refers to external assets that the Central Bank of China can use and effectively control at any time, including monetary gold (1536.10, -0.20, -0.01%), special drawing rights, reserve positions in the Fund and foreign exchange.
4.1 Monetary gold : refers to the gold held by China's central bank as a reserve.
4.2 Special drawing right : A book asset allocated by the IMF based on the shares subscribed by Member States, which can be used to repay IMF debts and make up for the balance of payments between Member Governments.
