What Is Social Accounting?

Social accounting is a type of accounting that reflects and controls the movement of total social funds by applying corporate accounting principles. From the scope of application, it is also called macro accounting or national economic accounting. It is the development of corporate accounting, the product of socialization of production and socialization of management. It has two meanings: one refers to the organization of accounting management activities within the entire national economic scope (social scope), that is, it reflects and supervises economic activities within the social scope. The second is to organize accounting management activities based on the overall interests of the entire national economy, that is, its starting point and destination are to safeguard the overall interests of the entire national economy.
