What are viral hives?
viral hives are elevated bumps or welds that develop on the body of man due to a virus. They are usually itchy or cause pain and can only take a few minutes or for up to several weeks. Some people even develop chronic hives that last months at a time. The hives are usually caused by the body's response to allergen or irritation. Sometimes, however, they evolve because the immune system responds to the virus and stimulates the release of chemicals called histamines into the body.
The symptoms of viral hives are the same as the symptoms of the hives caused by allergens. In most cases, a person with hives will raise the welds that develop on different parts of his body. Slash can be different in size and are often described as red or white. A person may have hives that cover almost every part of his body or only one part. Interestingly, some people even reported developing hives inside their mouths.
When a person has viral hives, the note may be that they come and leave. For exampleD It seems that the hive or cluster of hives will disappear for a while. Soon after this happens, new hives may develop. The hives are also often accompanied by serious itching and some people even say they hurt or burn. However, the pain caused by hives develop less than itch.
The individual develops viral hives in relation to a certain type of virus. For example, a person with mononucleosis, flu or cytomegalovirus can develop them. The individual can also develop them in relation to such viruses as herpes, the Epstein-Barr and Hepatitis virus. In addition, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), a virus that causes the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), can also cause viral hives in some cases.
The development of viral hives is usually due to the reaction that the body has on the viral attacker. In the case of viral hives, the person's Aimmune system goes into action to fight the virus. Within this process the immune system causes uFreeing a chemical called histamine, which in turn leads to hives.
Treatment of viral hives may include the treatment of basic viral condition and medicines that temporarily eliminate the hives. In most cases, doctors recommend antihistamines to treat hives and over -the -counter varieties often show effective. Sometimes, however, drugs called corticosteroids are also prescribed, which are steroid hormones.
