What is such a sheet?

The

shock, also known as the elevator leaf, is a sheet used in the medical industry to raise immobile patients from their beds. These leaves usually come in two parts: a normal cotton area above the rubber leaf. The shock leaf, imperceptible by a susceptible patient, promotes the body from the upper back to the middle thigh during lifting. Although this system still requires two people to raise the patient, the more even distribution of the weight that occurs in the elevator leaf, reduces the amount of the total discomfort that the patient feels.

Although such a sheet can only be a normal leaf of cotton, many hospitals and other medical institutions, such as nursing homes, use the bottom layer of rubber to add additional support. This function helps in lifting heavier patients. Adding a layer of rubber also ensures that the leaf does not tear and causes the patient.

Drawing leaves together with stretchers and gurneys fall into the category of medical equipment designed to move safelypatients. However, unlike the two examples mentioned, in emergency situations, the sheet is not used, where the patient must remain completely motionless. The shock certificate is used only in a controlled medical environment, where the patient is stable and under close care of the doctor or other medical staff.

Lifting a patient with such a sheet is a relatively simple process. Two individuals stand on the opposite sides of the bed and stick to the leaf near the patient's upper back and thigh. Together, a third party may support the patient's head if the patient is older or has difficulty breathing. After lifting, they transfer the patient to a new bed or wait for other experts to change the bedding on the existing bed. Once the patient lies again, the draw sheet may be inserted into bed or left hanging from the sides until the next turn.

using a tensile sheet has an important advantage over over that one or two people raise the patientwith bare hands. The first advantage is that the sheet reduces the number of pressure points evenly by distribution of the patient's weight along the sheet. This method causes the patient to less susceptible to bruises or other injuries during lifting. The most important advantage, however, is that the elevator leaf provides the highest level of safety when the stable patient is moving is a hospital environment. For example, individuals who raise the patient do not have to worry about their adhesion causes physical damage; The lack of this and other distractions reduces the chance of an accident.
