What is alogia?
Sometimes referred to as speech poverty, alogia is a condition in which the individual provides minimum verbal entry into a given conversation. ALOGIA is sometimes employed as a verbal tool to confuse the opponent. However, this condition can also be associated with different types of mental health problems such as schizophrenia.
When using as a verbal tool, alogia is used as a means to make the opponent released and cannot keep his peace. By providing verbal entry into a conversation that directly responds to questions, it does not offer anything else in the way of information, it is possible to unpack others and maybe cause information that they would never have provided otherwise. This approach is not unusual in business negotiations and also in several other situations where verbal interactions occur.
alogia is more often considered to be one of the manifestations of different mental health order. ALOGIA in schizophrenia usually takes the form of a patient who provides nothing but response to questions, that are one or two words. This is very different from normal speech patterns where people tend to elaborate these basic answers.
For example, an individual with an allogy would probably respond to a vehicle ownership in a simply answer "yes" or no.
Along with the use of simple and unadorned answers, the pronunciation of alogia is sometimes clear, because consonants may not be as sharp as in normal speech samples. Words may tend to plunge into the whisper or skip a second syllable. The tone of the delivery is sometimes flat and lacks many emotions as if the individual was separated from verbal exchange.
There is no treatment course for allogy. The combination of therapy and drugs aimed at eliminating the basic mental health problem often facilitates the patient to make it easier to select words and share information to become more diverse and animated. SomeHowever, Eré drugs used to treat conditions such as schizophrenia may sometimes cause the lack of responsive speech to worsen before the individual begins to improve.
It is important to realize that just because the individual sometimes corresponds to simple and two verbal answers, it should not be assumed that a person has a type of mental disorder. However, if an individual seems to never answer questions in another way, or suddenly return to this type of reaction with close friends and other loved ones, there is a reason to worry. Often, because treatment is successfully administered for the basic psychological problem, speech poverty will disappear.
