The transmission of infectious diseases is the whole process of pathogens being excreted from infected persons, passing through certain transmission routes, and being transmitted to susceptible persons to form new infections. For infectious diseases to occur and spread in a certain group of people, there must be three basic links: the source of infection, the route of transmission, and the susceptible group.
