What Is Oophoritis?
Periodic ophthalmia (periodic ophthalmia), also known as recurrent non-purulent pancreatitis, is commonly known as "lunatic blindness." It refers to an eye disease where the inflammation of the iris, ciliary body and vascular membranes occurs periodically and affects the entire eyeball. Occurs mainly in equine animals. The true cause has not been determined, and it is generally believed to be related to Leptospira infection. According to the clinical symptoms and processes, the acute phase, chronic intermittent phase and recurrence phase are considered. [1]
