What is radiology?

Radiology is the use of radiation for different types of "display", including X -rays. Imaging simply means creating an image of an internal configuration of a dense object, such as part of the human body, using radiant energy. Radiology is also sometimes called radioscopy or clinical radiology, the second because of many uses of imaging techniques for diagnosis as well as treatment of injuries or diseases. The display includes X -rays, vibrant dye, ultrasound, CT scanning and MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging.

In the medical field, radiology is specialized. The radiologist reads or interprets an image that determines injuries, determines how serious injury is, or helps to detect abnormalities such as tumors. That is why patients often have to wait for "official" results of an X -ray or other picture, even if the primary caregiver checked it. Radiology specialist must also interpret results and consult a doctor or offer a report on his findings to achieve an accurate diagnosis. Clinics and medical facilities that do not use radiologist on the spot must broadcast an image for interpretation and wait for finding.

Radiology is an important part of diagnosis and treatment, so the radiologist has a great responsibility for obtaining clear, different images and control with extreme care. Faulty images or interpretations can lead to missing things or even an incorrect diagnosis of the patient's condition. Getting high -quality images through radiology can be difficult when the patient has pain or suffers from a disease, so a radiologist or imaging technology must have an excellent bed way.

The radiologist must also be able to comfort the patient, keep him calm and able to clearly explain the radiological procedures to reduce the patient's anxiety. Must also thoroughly observe me patient records and ask questions to ensure that X -ray pAugust or other imaging techniques are not particularly risky for a particular patient, for example for a woman who is or may be pregnant. Since radiology techniques require radiation, technology must also protect themselves and the patient from possible hazards associated with radiation.
