What are Linux® commands?

The

Linux commands are instructions that are issued on the command line when working under the Linux operating system known as distribution, "distro" or "taste". Commands can be considered orders provided to the operating system or software program running in the system to do something or force them to stop doing something like starting the process. It can be said that Linux commands are a type of language that one can communicate with software and even control hardware. Linux commands are used to create and manage user in multiple users, add and manage local and network printers, control the network interface, set the date and time, and restart or turn off the system. Work on the Linux command line does not include the use of the mouse as well as the embankment when working in the graphical user interface (GUI). Usually only two colors - background color and color color - and there is no room for errors that may be devastating to the system if the user works as a root operator.

In contrast to random clicking on the icon in most cases, it can make a mistake when issuing Linux commands to erroneous messages or undesirable surprises. Error messages may occur when an error occurs that the system does not understand. While a random click on the icon still opens the program, if everything works correctly, the error in the syntax of Linux commands must not be understood. For example, the "CD" command, which allows the operator to change the directory, will not be understood if Misoded is like "cf." The "RM -F" command, which is used to enforce or delete the file, if it is mistaken, can lead to data loss.

Many commands are the same as or are similar to UNIX commands because all Linux distributions are UNIX -based systems. For example, "LS" states all files in the current directory and "PWD" prints the working directory in Linux and Unix. Commands must not only be correctlyIt must be spent in the right case, because Linux is sensitive to the case. There are many commands that must be used to complete the system without using GUI. The commands must not only learn, arguments that can and sometimes have to pass on

The reason why it is important to work with Linux commands, even if it starts distribution with an advanced Windows system is that some administrative tasks cannot be performed effectively or except the command line. The basic commands of Linux Can be instructed from the teaching programs available for free on the Internet and books on this topic. These orders actually control the system, so it is very important that users check what orders are issued before pressing ENTER. The root user has full control over the system. Publishing orders that are not fully understood or abused can destroy the integrity of the whole system.
