What is a Bandwidth Monitor?

The wide bandwidth can handle higher frequencies and the image quality is naturally better. The gap between the bandwidth of professional monitors and monitors for general applications is huge. The higher the bandwidth, the more expensive the monitor is. This is why some small brands of monitors are unwilling to mark the bandwidth standard. In general, our simple formula of acceptable bandwidth is: acceptable bandwidth = horizontal resolution X vertical resolution X maximum refresh frequency X1.5. For example, if one monitor supports 800X600X85Hz, then its bandwidth is 800X600X85HzX1.5 = 61.2MHz; another monitor supports 1024X768X85Hz, then its bandwidth is 1024X768X85HzX1.5 = 100.2MHz. The bandwidth of some high-level displays is as high as 300MHz or more.

Full name

Bandwidth determines the range of information that a display can process, which is the frequency range that a particular electronic device can process. The operating frequency range has been limited as early as the circuit design. Because high frequencies generate radiation, the design of high frequency processing circuits is more difficult and the cost is much higher. And enhancing the high-frequency processing ability can make the image clearer. Therefore, the wider bandwidth can handle higher frequencies and better images. Each resolution corresponds to a minimum acceptable bandwidth. If the bandwidth is less than an acceptable value for this resolution, the displayed image will be blurred due to loss and distortion.
