What is the Bluetooth® chipset?

Bluetooth® technology allows electronic devices to communicate wirelessly for short distances. In order to use Bluetooth® technology, the Bluetooth® chip kit must be used. Using this technology, computers, cameras, phones, stereo systems and printers, among other things, work together without the need for a cord. The Bluetooth® chipset consists of computer chips that integrate Bluetooth® technology into an electronic device. Although there are a number of different components that can be included in the Bluetooth® chipset, many chipsets are integrated into one chip. Another part of the Bluetooth® chipset allows Bluetooth® to run on a specific statement. It is impractical to install new software on some types of electronics, so they are already installed and enabled software.

Many devices communicate through radio waves. The Bluetooth® chipset allows an electronic device to communicate with other devices through a radioH waves that are designed to travel only by a very short distance that is referred to as the personal network of the personal area. This space has a radius of about 33 feet (10 m). TVs and mobile phones also send and receive information using radio waves, even if they use radio waves in a different way than Bluetooth®, because the waves are designed to travel long distances.

Development in technology has opened the possibility of using integrated circuits specific to application (Asics) instead of Bluetooth® chipsets. Although this technology is not so easily accessible, many engineers prefer it customizable. ASICS takes less space than the chipset because they can be specially designed to fit into a specific device. In addition, Bluetooth® ASIC uses less energy than Bluetooth® chipset.

Bluetooth® technology has become more sophisticated from 90 to 2000 and 2010. In 1994, engineers at the Swedish company Ericsson were extended by technology in the 40s of the 20th century and created wireless technology, which is currently used in Bluetooth® devices. Soon afterwards, many companies created the Special Heated Group (SIG), called Bluetooth®. Bluetooth® itself is not a company, but it is the technology shared by members of SIG who cooperate and develop it.
