What is a discussion thread?

In the frame of internet wall boards, blogs, e -mail lists and even on the news pages where comments can be published, there may be discussion threads, sometimes called topics or thread. The discussion thread applies to two separate but related things. First of all, it is an act - with which it can be solved by software or moderator - grouping all comments or discussions on the same topic. Second, the discussion thread can be defined as one topic that is discussed by groups. In most cases, the thread is the only topic and all comments on the topic are listed with it.

For the first definition, there may be a number of ways of grouping a single discussion fiber. Each post can simply show up in the order that has been accepted. On websites that are moderated, posts in the same thread may not be displayed for a while until someone reads and approves the answer. Other times the last post appears and initial comments are groupedIn reverse order.

In discussion threads, people can be able to answer a single post to a discussion, which could then be listed directly below the post, often stated that it is the answer to the answer in response in response slightly or by the topic name. If you have a problem with someone's gaze or wish to praise something that another poster said, you can be able to answer directly to their comments. This brings an interesting problem regarding every unique thread of the discussion.

Netiquette dictates that you really understand how to publish and how the post is displayed in the discussion thread. If the posts are displayed in the order of the received or reversed order without a response function, you may want to refer to the post of the person you are discussing to make people understand what you are talking about. May be easy to lose the meaning of your post when you can't answer within thRead. You should also be sure if you only add new ideas to the discussion threads, that you are not using the response function to answer someone else's specific comment, if this is not your intention.

There is another problem with Netiquette, because the only discussion thread often requires you to stay on the topic. If you have a new problem that is not related to a particular thread, you can publish it elsewhere on the web, maybe in the form of a blog or new messages. Basically, you should look elsewhere and create your own "new" idea instead of adding to the thread it is unrelated to.

There is an exception. Sometimes an article, a blog or a topic is large and supports an open thread, which means that you can discuss everything related to a much greater problem or make a small award or negative comments, as you see fit. The open discussion thread is not bound by the same Netiquette rules, although you still want to adhere to the advice to respond to specific Comments as above.
