What is a green motherboard?
Green motherboard is an environmentally friendly motherboard. There are a number of different ways to be considered green. It can be made with less environmentally harmful production process and made of less harmful materials. It can also consume less electricity with inactivity and full speed. As soon as it reaches an end of life, the green motherboard will usually be less harmful and recycling that was created with less harmful materials.
Many green motherboards are monitored by the European Union standard of limiting hazardous substances (Rohs). This Directive limits the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalnt chromium and some polybrominated burning retardants in electronic devices. Especially on the motherboards, lead was used in the solder used to connect computer parts to the board, in the component they lead themselves and in the footsteps of a flat circuit board. Some manufacturers also adhere to the waste power plant Cal and Electronic Equipment (WEee), which orders ecologically friendly collection and renovation or disposal for their electronic goods.
Most motherboards meet a certain level of energy consumption requirements, determined by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The green motherboard usually meets or exceeds the latest specification. Some of these motherboards save energy using low-voltage processors made from smaller transistors and various materials, which significantly reduces energy uses-especially in idle-and-and-life provides better performance. Some processors can also reduce their energy consumption while performing less demanding tasks. Most motherboards also include intelligent energy management circuits that turn off video, Ethernet and hard drive, other devices and their drivers while they are using OT.
Green motherboard may also include includedAt specialized processor, which is devoted effectively in energy control, monitoring and energy distribution according to the constantly changing load. At least one manufacturer has introduced network interface motherboards that are compatible with the standard ETHERNET (EEE) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This allows such a system temporarily but drastically to reduce energy consumption by detecting small activity on both sides of the Ethernet connection.
Green motherboard is a critical part of the green computer. Combination of motherboard, hard disk, video displays, memory, power sources and external components, creates an ideal green system. While each individual green computer user contributes to health health, it is even more important for data centers containing thousands of the same systems as possible, make full use of green technology.
