What is a job planner?
Many computers are able to use task planner to perform automated tasks. This feature allows the computer to automatically perform some tasks as planned by a computer user. The planner is usually specialized in each type of computer operating system (OS). It performs tasks in an automated way, which reduces the need for human intervention.
The task planner can be set to start in more time. This provides a system to the system administrators that can plan monthly or daily maintenance. An example of a planner task is the success process. This is a process that moves old data to the storage. The use of a scheduled task to complete this task ensures that the computer system maintains adequate disk space.
In the UNIX® operating system, the task planner is usually known as the work of Cron. This is the MASTER Scheduler program for UNIX®. It can operate multiple types of programs including scripts, administrative tasks and gene maintenance of RAL OS. HiveOHA Cron uses a built -in timer similar to alarm clock and performs tasks based on a predefined plan. This plan is managed in a special file in the operating system that organizes all daily tasks.
UNIX® task planner uses a special background process that controls the schedule. This managerial program, often referred to as Cron Daemon, is responsible for reading the schedule and performing scripting programs in time. The Administrator checks the plan once per minute. If new tasks are added to the plan, it will usually be carried out within 60 seconds from the entrance to the table.
The task planner in the Windows® operating system is known as the Task Manager program. Windows® task planner can run scripts or existing programs in the computer operating system. This is a good tool for day -to -day UPS and maintenance.
The program of the distributed resource planner (DRS) is an example of a preliminary plainVače tasks. This program is designed for distributed software applications and has the ability to perform programs based on work priority. This type of process is usually used in highly available grouped IT environments.
