What is the PCB socket?
printed circuit board, commonly referred to as PCB, is used on computers, mobile phones, televisions and most other devices that run electronically. PCB is made of stiff non -conductive material. The circuits are then printed on it with special machines, using a suitable layout for a particular board. Along with conductive lines that connect different parts of the board, PCB has components to be mounted directly to the board. In many situations, the PCB socket is used to ensure the installation point on the board for various integrated circuits, often called ICS or chips. Different sockets have different number of pins, depending on the type of IC for which it is to be used. On the top of the socket are rows of holes that match the pins. The socket is made of non -conductive plastic. Each of the holes allows access to the pins below them, so when the chip is located in the TON PCB Socket each of its legs touches one of the feet of the drawer. These holes are connected to other components on the boardusing printed circuits. Once the drawer is mounted on the board, soldering on site, either by hand or by a machine.
After the PCB socket is burned into a flat circuit plate, an integrated circuit is ready to receive an integrated circuit. Each pin of IC is carefully aligned with the holes on the drawer, then the chip is pushed into the place. Once the chip is in the socket, it works as if it was connected directly to the circuit board.
In the production phase of a circuit with PCB socket, it adds another step to the process, but serves an important purpose. If the integrated circuit needs to be replaced for any reason, whether because of failure or upgrading, it can be easily leap from the socket and a new chip in its place. If the PCB socket is not used, the replacement of the chip requires that the old chip is de-presented, which can cause damage to the plate with circuits and the new chip must be burned in.
