What is a safe shell?

The

secure shell allows two network data to replace data via a secure channel. This network protocol uses public key cryptography to protect information so that it can be safely sent via an unsecured network. Secure shell is most often used on computer systems Linux and Unix. Most often it is used to start another program. The Shell account allows shell to access the Shell via a user account on a remote server. The user interacts with Shell by entering commands. This is called the command line interface.

Secure Shell offers users a way to securely access the server, even if the network is not secure. A secure form called public key cryptography is used to create a secure connection. Each computer in communication has two keys, a public key and a private key. The message is encrypted using a public key that is available to everyone but can only be decoded using a private key that is known only to the target computerEm. Although the keys are mathematically connected, there is no way to find a private key using a public key.

Internet engineering working group, an organization that creates and maintains internet standards has created Secure Shell. The aim was to replace Telnet and Rlockid as a selection protocol for login to the shells on remote computers. The Secure Shell protocol is safer than Telnet and more versatile than the Rlockid.

Secure Shell protocol can also be used for port tunneling. The tunnel is a secure channel used to transmit unencrypted data from the port on the local computer to the port on a remote computer. While encryption is like writing a message to code, tunneling is like talking by a message through the phone line. Information is protected by the protection, through which it travels rather than the format of the message.

files are transmitted in the context of secured shell using a protokSecure Shell Files OLU. This protocol provides access to files as well as management and transmission capabilities in any reliable data current, such as Ethernet. It was created by an internet engineering working group for use with Secure Shell, but can work with any secure channel. Among other file transfer protocols that can be used with secure shell
