What Is a Split-Level Table?
Split Cells Split a cell into two or more cells. This method is called splitting cells. The operation of splitting cells is mostly used in Word tables or Excel and table controls (such as Spread, ComponentOne's FlexGrid, etc.). Most table software or table controls support splitting cells.
Split cell
- Select the merged cells, and the Merge and Center button also appears selected in the Alignment group on the Home tab. Click Merge and Center. The contents of the merged cell will appear in the cell in the upper left corner of the split cell range.
- You can merge the contents of several cells and display them in one cell. You can also split the contents of one cell and distribute it as sections in other cells.
