What is a digital ink?
Digital Ink is a form of technology that allows electronically to add handwriting and drawing to documents and display on the computer monitor. The digital ink system usually uses a special digital pen or stylus to record what is written on digital paper - a pad designed specifically for this purpose. The manuscript can be converted by means of a manuscript recognition technology to a standard text or can be stored in its original form. Similarly, drawings can be stored in their original form or manipulated using software. The electronic ink refers to the ink part of the inkjet technology used with electronic paper in general. In other words, the digital pen is used to create an image of an electronic ink on digital paper. E Ink is a specific type of electronic paper produced by E Ink Corporation. Digital ink is more general, which includes various technologies and processes of transmission and displaying manuscript, text and images. UseIt included notes and data entry on tablet computers, personal digital assistants (PDA), mobile phones and eReaders. Digital ink systems have evolved over time to include drawing, animations, cameras and touch sensitive boards.
In general, digital ink systems have shown as particularly useful in both real and virtual classrooms, allowing instructors to prepare detailed materials in advance and then make notes on the edge or sketches in other drawings during the lecture. Other practical applications include the use of digital forms and pens for public opinion surveys, census and other information collection. The use of technology instead of paper forms saves paper and is usually considered to be more efficient for collecting, storage, loading and transmission of many types of information. Digital forms have replaced some or all paper forms inMany business, medical and government offices.
Similarly, digital ink and colors technology has replaced traditional ink and color techniques in animation. The original series of artists drawings is scanned on a computer for software processing that allows artists and animators to modify colors, shapes and other details. This process is also used to combine drawings in layers with other drawings, soundtracks and special effects.
