What is dual basic technology?

Dual core technology refers to two individual microprocessors on a single litis chip. These are basically two units for computer processing (CPU) in one. The advantage of this type of chip is that the tasks can be carried out in parallel currents, which shortens the processing time. This is referred to as at the level of parallelism (TLP) .

TLP is also possible on motherboards that can hold two separate dies of CPU. When TLP is made in a single CPU through a dual core technology, it is called multiprocessing at the Chip (Clm) level.

In CPU with more than one core, each microprocessor generally has its own on -board cache, known as level 1 (L1) cache. The L1 cache significantly improves the performance of the system because it is much faster to access the cache on the chip than to the use of random access (RAM). The L1 cache is approached at microprocessor speeds.

Dual core chips also commonly have secondary sharedCPU cache, known as level 2 (L2) cache. Motherboards can also have a cache as level 3 (L3) . While faster than RAM, the L3 cache is slower than the cache built into the chip. The latter deadlines apply to two independent processors installed on the same motherboard. The dual core chips occupy less property on the motherboard, have greater cache coherence and consume less energy than two independent processors. However, this technology also has its disadvantages.

For software that uses multiple core architecture, it must be written to use a parallel thread. Otherwise, the program works in one core mode using only one data current or one of the built -in microprocessors. Unfortunately, coding for TLP is quite intense because the interlaced shared data can create errors and slown. Due to these and other problems, the dual core processes do not bring twice the speed of the disposable processor, although there is a significant increase in performance under optimal conditions. Finally, the dual core of the chips runs warmer than their disposable cousins.

Whether this type of processor is suitable for you will depend on what you plan to use a computer. If the programs you require regularly are designed for TLPs, you can benefit from a multi -core chip. If not, you may be better operated by a top disposable processor.
