What is duplex printing?

Duplex printing means that both sides of the paper sheet are printed in a single command cycle. Such printing saves paper. This is also commonly used for evidence of graphic design and for the production of text and graphic documents. Some printer models do not perform a duplex function.

Duplex printing is different from manual printing on one side of the page, removing the sheet, re -putting it upside down and printing it. In duplex printing, the printer actually prints to the side, pulls out the paper, pulls it back to the printing surface and prints the other side before the final piece is released. This function is automatic and no manual intervention is required if something goes wrong.

Only certain printers can perform this function. Duplex printers can be colors or black and white and can be consumer or commercial models. The program from which the piece is printed must also be set to Duplex. This is most often achieved by choosing a PTIe drop -on or radio on the print imagemore or in the printer settings. This is often part of an effort to make a green or reducing the amount of generated waste. In addition, paper saving means saving money that can be used better for other initiatives.

In other cases, duplex printing is an important part of the piece design. For example, a composite program can have an image on the envelope and the schedule of events inside. Duplexing allows the printer to load the paper and select print only once. To set the print file, it is necessary to ensure that all faces are printed correctly. For example, if the program file has been set incorrectly, the cover image may appear on the right side, while the internal text prints upside down.

Many pieces are printed by duplex print, including leaflets, teaching handbooks and more. Pieces printed on a heavier substrate, such as postcards, are usually made on a press press that uses another Technicaloscii than the printer. In design departments, however, designers use duplex prints to create realistic hard evidence of double -sided pieces. Although the final piece is printing on the printing, it is often easier for the client to check and understand the evidence if it has been duplexed and cut to a suitable size.
