What is Near-Line Storage?
The so-called nearline storage is a concept proposed with the refinement of customer storage environments. The so-called nearline storage has a relatively extensive extension and is mainly positioned for applications between online and offline storage. It refers to storing data that is not frequently used or that does not have a large amount of data access, on a low-performance storage device. But at the same time, these devices require fast addressing and high transmission rates. (E.g. archiving of infrequently used files by customers for long periods)
