What is Network Topology?
Network topology (Network Topology) structure refers to the physical layout of interconnecting various devices with transmission media. Refers to a specific physical or real or logical or virtual arrangement among members constituting a network. If the connection structure of the two networks is the same, we say that their network topology is the same, although the physical wiring and distance between the nodes may be different.
- Computer connected party
- When designing the network topology, we often encounter problems such as "nodes", "nodes", "
- Figure 1 is an example of an electrical network and its line graph. The line segments are called branches and the points are called nodes. If each branch has a direction, it is a directed graph, otherwise it is an undirected graph. A tree is defined as a connected subgraph that contains all the nodes in the line graph but does not contain a loop. The branches that belong to the tree in the line graph are called tree branches, and the others are continuous branches. A line graph usually has many trees. Figure 2 shows some trees of the line graph in Figure 1 (b). Suppose there are n + 1 nodes and b branches in the line graph, then there are exactly n branches in the tree, and bn in the continuous branch. A tree can be used to systematically find the maximum number of independent loop groups. The method is to select a tree and add a continuous branch to the tree to form a loop containing only the continuous branch. A total of bn independent basic circuit groups can be obtained from each branch.
Network Topology Performance Management

Network topology fault management
- Detect, locate, and troubleshoot network devices. When a fault occurs, you can confirm the fault in a timely manner, record the fault, and find out the location of the fault to eliminate these faults as much as possible. [2]
Network topology configuration management
- When the topology map is generated, the system will record the configuration information of each network device. Once the configuration changes, the administrator will be notified via SMS, email, and other methods. Even if the device fails to operate normally due to misoperation, the problem can be solved by restoring the configuration file. [2]

Network topology topology management
- Provides flexible tools for custom topology. These tools can be used to define multiple styles of network topology diagrams to meet the needs of multiple users. In addition, the location of each network device can be defined according to the actual administrative area division to make the topology view clearer and easier to understand. [2]
