What is open source software?
Open source refers to at least two things. First, it is the Open Source Initiative® trademark and a license that the Open Source® Grants on Open Source Software (OSS), which meets certain criteria called the definition of open source . However, there are other ideas about open source code software that do not hold the same standards and offer open source software in different types of licenses. One thing that has a common open source software software is the availability for source code users, which means that the user can see exactly how the application or program has been coded and can often edit it. Depending on the type of license it has, users may be able to edit and reduce open source software.
Any type of license that comes is software with open source code proprietary commercial software. Proprietary commercial software is based on one company that developsand own source code. VŠEWS LICENSE User to use the product as created by a commercial business. In some cases, users are allowed and/or encouraged to create plug-in or accessories to improve proprietary commercial software, but there are limits to do. This is supposed to protect the investment of software developers.
There are several goals behind the movement of open source code. One thought that the software development department would encourage developers to do what is best for software, leading to products that have increased usefulness and fewer mistakes. It is also believed that mutual inspection without limiting the commercial release date will contribute to software that will continue to be upgraded constantly rather than carefully timing the main edition that does not occur very often, and between them will remain with Buggy users. Another consideration is the tackle by opening the code, a large number of developers, each of which can have thoughts of improving software, bring their specific skills and observations, as well as their time to contribute to the process, speed up the development and take over in many ways and expand the scope of software.
