What is Socket 478?

Socket 478 is a central processing unit (CPU) or microprocessor, a socket containing 478 pins. Its purpose is to provide physical support of the processor and electrically connect it to the motherboard of the personal computer (PC). The 478 socket, as well as other components of its ILK, allows users to safely connect or remove the CPU. It accepts the Grid Array (PGA) field design, which means that its 478 pins are evenly arranged in its square structure. Intel, which was introduced in 2002, Intel relied on a drawer of 478 for several of its processors until 2006, when it began to eliminate it in favor of LGA 775. The drawer compete with theirs. AMD cleverly defeated Intel of the third generation of Athlon production, nicknamed "XP". In response, Intel came out a CPU Szzádka, which replaced the drawer and with 16 other pins.

inTel was created by Socket 478 for the then fraudster Intel Pentium 4 Chips Codenamed Northwood, which released in January 2002. The socket supported the Northwood processing range 1.4 to 3.4 Gigahertz. It also supported Intel Celeron chips focused on Northwood microarchitecture, with a speed range of 1.7 to 2.8 GHz processing. The later CPU that Intel created for compatibility with the Socket 478 included the Prescott Intel Pentium 4, which are smaller than their older Northwood siblings; And Celeron D, which was actually the last processors made for drawer. Regardless of the computer chips, the Socket 478 supports data transfer speeds of 400, 533 and 800 million gears per second, which is reflected in 400, 533 and 800 megahertz.

Each socket 478 measures 1.38 square inches (8.90 square centimeters). The socket belongs to the PGA subcategory called Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array (FC-PGA or FCPGA). This means that the silicone core, as the hottest part of the reasonEsora is pointing upwards, avoiding contact with the computer's motherboard. This allows the user to introduce a cooler that draws heat from the CPU to prevent overheating and subsequent failure. However, users must make sure that they maintain the mechanical maximum load limits, which consist of the dynamic power of 890 Newtons (200 pounds), the static forces of 445 Newtons (£ 100) and the temporary forces of 667 Newtons (£ 150).
