What is the G34 socket?

Socket G34 developed by AMD® was released in March 2010 and designed for servers and top computers. Unlike most other central processing units (CPU) sockets (CPUs) are the G34 plinth asymmetric or rectangular shape and both the CPU and the socket have a different number of contacts. This socket has four random access (RAM) channels and the front of the bus (FSB) reaches up to 1.6 Gigahertz (GHz). As a server connector, the G34 CPU with eight up to 16 cores or processing units for multiprocessing power supports. The drawers traditionally used holes, but the LGA arrangement is progress in this technology. This type of socket uses flat electrical contacts, unlike pins, and the CPU rests on flat contacts.

Most sockets and CPU share the same number of contacts. The G34 socket has 1,974 contacts, while the CPU itself has 1,944 contacts. With this arrangement, many other CPuzapads can be into the G34 socket, but they will not interconnect electronically due to the contact arrangement. UnlikeD most sockets and CPUs use the G34 series asymmetric assembly or rectangular socket and CPU to provide a high amount of contacts for the size of the outlet.

The

G34 socket is designed for servers, so it must connect to CPUs that contain high amounts of cores or internal processors. In terms of CPU, the cores refer to several processors in the main processor unit that are able to process different functions or equations simultaneously. Depending on the CPU, the user placed in the G34 socket, the CPU may contain at least eight and a maximum of 16 cores. Each core has 512 kilobytes (KB) RAM for level 2 (L2) and 12 megabytes (MB) RAM for level 3 (L3).

The

FSB speed concerns how quickly the G34 socket has access to multiple cores. The minimum speed is 800 megahertz (MHz) and the maximum is 1.6 GHz. This speed is quite slow compared to similar drawers, but PRThis is leveled by more functional core force. Four RAM or RAM channels are able to fit into G34 DIES, allowing the user access to a large amount of RAM. There are only two RAM sockets, but two RAM chips can fit in each socket.
