What is a logical connection control?
Logical connection control (LLC) is one of the two folders of the second layer of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI), a layer of data connection. It is a LLC that takes packets and puts them into frames, which can then be converted by lower layers to bits that actually move through the media. However, this is not a single role, because LLC is also responsible for creating a more standardized interface for many different communication protocols, control of data flow, and ensuring that the data arrives at its goal.
The way the data connection layer works is that the upper layers of the OSI model pass on datagrams or packets that reach the data connecting layers. The logical control of the connection, which works in accordance with its sibling, inserts data into so -called images. The images are then handed over to the multiplexed analog component (MAC), which assign a specific hardware destination to the frames. Once the data reference has finished its work, it transfers data down to the lowest model of the modelOSI, a physical layer, which then converts data into a current of electrical signals for wires. In this way, LLC provides the ability of any of the upper layers to transmit data without having to know something about the type of network on which the data is based.
There are two types of operations to check logical connections, without connection and connection. With LLC without connection, also known as the logical control of Link Type One or LLC1, the link is not created with the receiving end. LLC Type One simply sends and receives data streams among other colleagues without connection without each of them to annoy confirm the confirmation. This is useful for some communication protocols that may not have to negotiate in front of the hands, such as the hypertext transmission of Protocol (HTTP) used on the World Wide website and user datagram (UDP), which is used for many other services.
with a type of logical connection type two orLLC2, connection -oriented transmission requires each end of communication to confirm its link to the other than can be sent or accepted any data. LLC2 provides better check and correction of errors if some data is lost on the way. With this pre -established communication link, either the end of the communication is necessary to confirm the receipt of data and ask for everything that could come missing. One of the most famous and frequently used connection protocols, TCP (TCP) protocol (TCP), actually runs without connection, Internet protocol (IP). This makes the numbering of packets sent and putting them back in the order.
