RavMonE virus, also known as W32 / Rjump, is a virus that can open a backdoor of a computer with Windows system installed, create a copy of itself in the Windows system directory, and create a log containing the port number where the backdoor component listens file. When a computer is infected, the virus allows hackers to access its files and programs.

w32 / rjump can be scattered on the Internet via email attachments. It can also be delivered via portable devices such as flash memory, external memory, digital cameras and multimedia players. Devices like this can infect a virus from a computer with Windows installed even if they do not install Windows themselves, and spread it to other computers with Windows installed. In mid-October 2006, Apple reported that a large number of video iPods that had been installed with the RavMonE virus from a contract vendor entered the market.
