What Are Crucible Tongs?
Crucible tongs are a common chemical instrument. Crucible tongs are mostly made of refractory materials, and are made of stainless steel or hard materials that are non-combustible and difficult to oxidize. [1]
Crucible forceps
- 1. It is usually used to clamp the crucible. It is the pliers used to clamp the crucible and crucible lid. Crucible forceps can also be used to grip the evaporation dish. [1]
- When holding hot porcelain crucibles and crucible lids, pre-heat the clamping parts of the crucible tongs to prevent the porcelain crucibles and crucible lids from falling sharply and exploding. [1]
- 2. When using a crucible tongs to pick up a hot crucible, the tongs must be preheated to prevent the crucible from rupturing due to local cooling. After use, the tongs should be placed on the table or asbestos net.
- 3. After the experiment is completed, the crucible tongs should be wiped clean, put into the experimental equipment cabinet, and kept dry.
- 4. Use crooked part to hold crucible, use pointed tip for other purposes.
- 5. The crucible tongs are not necessarily used with the crucible.
- 6. The crucible tongs should be lightly clamped when taking the crucible and crucible cover to avoid force, so that the crucible and crucibles are crushed. [1]
