What Are Gas Regulators?
When diving, one cannot directly inhale the high-pressure gas in the cylinder, which requires pressure adjustment through a breathing regulator. The regulator consists of a primary head, a secondary head (respirator), a spare respirator, a meter group (SPG), and a low-pressure tube. The primary head is used to connect the gas cylinder, the secondary head is the main respirator, and the meter group (SPG) includes a cylinder residual pressure gauge, depth gauge and compass, and a low pressure pipe is used to connect the buoyancy vest (BCD). Some will also have an extra low-pressure hose to connect to drysuits.
