What is Counterborre?
It is often desirable to hide the fasteners used in the connection process. One way to achieve this is to use Counter. Counterborree can mean the process of creating a cavity, a specific tool used to create a cavity, or can be used in relation to the cavity itself. The cavity is usually designed to hide the entire shaft of the fastening element and also the head of the fastening element. Countering is similar to Countersinking-Great difference is that the counter-cavity is a cylindrical nature rather than a conical results achieved by the counter. The pre -drilled hole is determined to align the connecting element and prevent the workpiece from being distributed when two flat planes are joined. This larger cavity is created so that it is at least the width and depth of the head of the intended fastener, and is referred to as Counterborre.
6 The fastening element is usually a flat bottom screw such as a Panhead screw or a round head. The counterparts generally has two cutting radii-one cuts for preliminaryA hole and one that creates a recessed cavity in the workpiece.use Counterbores provides the opportunity for a conjury to be completely hidden during the joining process. The connector lies either below below or rinse with the surface of the workpiece so that it does not prevent the design. When processing wood, an increased depth of counterattack at the thickness of the fasteners head can leave the space for a wooden plug that will be fastened to the remaining space, thus completely hiding the connecting element and providing one continuous wood surface. Counterbores can also be drilled with averages than necessary for the location of the fasteners' head in situations where the desired clearance for the wall key is for ease of assembly.
