What Is a Cranked Hinge?
The crank-rocker mechanism refers to a hinged four-bar mechanism having a crank and a rocker. Generally, the crank is a driving member and rotates at the same speed, the rocker swings back and forth for the driven member at variable speed, and the connecting rod makes a plane composite motion. In the crank-rocker mechanism, a rocker is also used as an active member, and the reciprocating swing of the rocker is converted into the rotation of the crank.
