What is the deck beam?
The deck beam is a support contribution that holds the weight of the on -board materials and all persons or objects placed on board. These are usually screwed to the established pillars of the deck of the deck. When connecting the on -board beams to the columns, it is important to provide support for lumber above and after nails and screws that can weaken and fail to support the structure correctly over time. The wood will be limited to the correct length based on the deck plan. Each on -board beam will have to be attached to the on -board column using the beam beam or notch and screw techniques. Troja support the weight of beams, floorboards and railings connected to the deck. One footer is required in all four corners of the deck and in the measured spaces on the underside of the deck for further support. The dull and gaps between the footers and the rays will be determined by the total weight of the deck. This weight can add up to several tons as the furniture is placed on the floors and people start using space.
On -board beams are also used to connect the on -board rays to the house structure. These beams must be screwed into a solid pin by a home outer. Foot matches can also be used to support the weight of the on -board beams unless the studs are strong enough to support the deck.
The notch and screw technique can be used instead of beam beams to support beams. This technique uses excessive foot columns. The contributions are stuck with a circulation saw that holds the width of the on -board beams. The deck beam is then connected to the footer by means of screws of the carriage.
notches can be cut from two sides to support corner decks. The remaining posts are often recorded in the middle to support a single beam that leads the depth or width of the entire deck. The deck beams can be placed either parallel or perpendicular to the house, depending on the approved plans of the deck.
correctly supportNot rays require many local and state laws and codes. Before the construction of the deck, local building agencies may have to approve the Deck Plan. After the structure is completed, the inspection may be needed to go through local and state building codes.
